Shimla: Queen of Hill Stations

Shimla is capital of Northern State Himachal Pardesh connected through Kalaka-Shimla Toy train, last running Narrow Gauge toy train of India started in 1903 by Britishers. Shimla is best known for its handicrafts mainly made of wood. Lakar Bajar is world wide famous for its Wooden crfting. Shimla is the best apetite-whetter for those who are fond of Mountains and Natural Beauty. Shimla has maintained its cultural values very well and also kept a balance with the modern life style. March to June time is best for visiting Shimla as the temprature at that time remains in between 15०-30०, best for all type of sports.
1. Jakhoo Hill
Jakhoo Hill is the top most hill station of Shimla, that's why best place to enjoy scenic beauty. Jakhoo hill is the most favoured place for Nature Lovers as well as for Pilgrims. There is also a Temple named Jakhoo temple whose chief diety is Hanuman ji, is Decorated with a large statue of Hanuman ji.
2.The Shimla State Museum
Shimla has enjoyed a very glorious past with a very rich culture, whose proofs can be seen in Shimla State Museum, also known as Himachal State Museum and Library. It is built on the top of the Mount Pleasant in 1974.Here you can enjoy beauty of glorious past of Shimla.
3. Potter's Hill
As its name, Potter's Hill was used by potters in past for collecting clay, but now famous for spectacular scenes of the city from this hill. Potter's Hill, also named as Summer Hill, is one among seven Hills, of which Shimla is made. You can enjoy snow capped mountains from here.
4. The Ridge
The center of the town, The Shimla Ridge, offers spectacular views of the mountain peaks of the land. The Ridge is a open space that runs from east to west along the Mall, which is yet another famous tourist destination.If you love the view of mountains, this is your dream destination. The marvelous view of snow-clad mountain ranges spellbinds you. The mountains apart, you get to view Christ Church, an ancient church that displays the beauty of Neo-Gothic architecture and Tudor Library, another popular attraction.
5.Kufari
Along withsome other places, Kufari used to belong to Nepal Kingdom but now in India, is a very beautiful place to visit, decorated with snowed Mountains.
